They cut the pic so much could hardly see the loons so I changed to a bird you can see;-)sorry...
The slant of the sun made
the wonder of light
glint off the wings
of birds in flight,
I felt its warmth upon my shoulders
while my legs were chilled by the
shade the large oak tree made
Adding to the myriad of thought in my brain
that was enhanced by the sudden spring rain
giving credence to the premise that the duality
exists in every aspect of life, it insists
light dark,hot cold,good bad,hate love,young old
happy sad, weaving their way in and out of each day
while the poet always looks for more to explore
and hopefully will get joy from the treasure stored
Loon or not, it's a beautiful creature, dear friend! As are the words you share with great imagery and inspiration; who could not find treasures here?

Hi Eileen, It is all about perspective, isn't it? Great write to encourage this soul to look at the treasure in all things. Thank you for sharing this...
Eileen, you explore the conceptual deltas of emotions in a beautiful poetic expression -- re-establishing how vital it is that we all recognize that without an opposing emotion, or physical sense, we cannot attach meanings to those good physical sensations or desirable emotions in life -- bravo! -- "while the poet looks for more to explore", does a credible job indeed of expressing our lot's penchant for optimism -- thanks for sharing this very creative work -- peace and love -- Jon Michael
I left the serious comment to the people more intelligent than me, but lil'sis I never saw a green loon, and then I remember you are one of the family that are more near to Jersey Ed...and that explains all.

Eileen, I think of all your work, your nature writes are my favorites, as they are filled with beautiful images and spirituality, and this is no exception.
Eileen,
You don't surprise me anymore

So thats what a loon looks like...and here I thought it resembled Pee-wee or Georg or our sister in Calif...LOL! Are you sure they are loons, they look for all the world like ducks...? Ed
Such beauty in lilting lines, Eileen - much to Treasure, here. Your love for the Creator, and for the Gift He's given you - your words. Well done, my (((friend))).
Still Living on my Feet is the follow up to Tichaona Chinyelu’s first book, In the Whirlwind, which was rooted in a sense of hard-hitting revolutionary black love. However, in this sophomore effort, Tichaona brings the revolutionary essence from deep
