Poem Artwork

Caught in the fog of
confusion wondering is
it all an illusion

The lavender haze imbues
the eyes like a glaze, as it
makes you wonder if a
spell you're under

It fades into the mist
like a whispery kiss of
an affair that wasn't
there~

Almost as if the bed was
covered with ethereal
figures that had fled
into the purple prose
of the dead~

Foggy fingers reach out
for you ,but its only the
brances of trees ,that
make you weak in the
knees~

Thou didst flee my love
so silent, you stole away
like a serpent, leaving no
trail that anyone could
tail~

The dappled grey dew of
you saturates the cloudy
day, leaving damp wishes
to play with empty words
along the way~

~etw~

Eileen,
The title's perfect for this dreamy, misty exploration and so are the verses; a gorgeous poem in every way.

Stealth in the mist, like wandering through a fog made of old thoughts and gray memories inside a mental forest that brings chills to our soul.

The fog an illusive lover, like the seven veils, an illusion, but beautiful and saturating, you did it again, you know what I say,

Okay Ellen, you have put forth a real treat here. As a surrealistic poem of lost (maybe) love as I have had the pleasure of feasting my eyes upon. You used the elements, the fog, the trees, etc. to a wonderful advantage and gave the reader something to sit back and say, Whoaaaa! This is poetic in the truest sense.

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
