I see leaves,
when my empty solitude
fills me the day after;
they accompany my floating thoughts.
My hair flows,
full of expectation,
like a stream of water passing over any frontier,
between a sheet of paper that I signed
and the dream of turning it into
a child's paper plane.
The wind is soft,
barely audible,
as if the tumults
of my life gone wild
were being hushed.
Now that the leaves
have changed their hues,
now that solitude
is my fulfillment,
here are my wings,
born from an earthly delight
and made
of a lighter kind of wisdom.
Soon, I will fly,
leaving the leaves behind;
and as they fall after a while,
I'll go much further,
but never will I give up my roots.
Surely I've been told
to make a comfortable choice,
but I know that I can nurture both worlds,
cherish the sky and the earth.
And even if I cry at times,
I will still spread my daring wings
and strengthen my singular roots,
to summon the pleasure
that I deserve,
(and so do you).
This poem is elegant, so visual, and graceful. The soul stirs in the duality of the actual and conceptual (roots and wings). It is a lucky person who can find contentment in both spheres, maybe its a gentle wind that makes it all possible.........:) pax A
To find harmony and bliss between earth and sky is a nervana in the making. One that we all strive to reach, expecially the young and pure of heart. Wonderful piece....
You, my dear, are as passionate as mother nature herself. You are the tree, the wind....the clouds. Keep believing and your weightlessness is gauranteed.

These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
When two men hit the reset button and decide to go out looking for the good in the world, they not only find it but also a lot more.
P.S. The title is listed on Amazon under Look for Something Good by Robert Drews (not by Robert H. Drews)
