My Swing


Poem Artwork

Swinging on my swing
Not thinking about anything
Kick my feet high in the air
Feeling fine not a care

The breeze in my hair
Sun on my freckled face
Leaves almost touching my toes
What a wonderful place

The solitude of my swaying swing
Means more to me than anything
I could sit here all day long
And just swing and swing and swing

I love to swing, I love to sit on my front porch and swing and read, swing and write, swing and think, and sometimes just swing. Wonderful sweet write my friend. Enjoyed!

Dave,
As a child swinging was my favorite thing to do. I LIVED on my swing! There was nothing like it...the breeze in my hair...I felt I could almost touch the sky! It placed me in a world of my own. Thank you for bringing back a beautiful memory! I enjoyed this very much.

I hear ya. Sometimes I sit out on my porch swing for hours - doing nothing but swinging. It really soothes the old soul.
