“I come here with no expectations, only to profess, now that I am at liberty to do so,
that my heart is and always will be...yours.”
Jane Austen

Poem Artwork

I cherish these dark hours
When only you and I
Exist,
When you come to me
And we touch,
Skin to skin,
Heart to heart,
Soul to soul.
We are two wholes
Who are only complete
When our worlds meet
And we become
As one.
Then oh, my heart!
The ecstasy you bring me
Cannot be expressed,
It can only be shared
Through the gentle caresses
And passionate kisses,
The rapture
That creates and closes
Our private circle
Of adoration
Of devotion
Of love,
Binding us
Until the first light of day
Releases us
Making us incomplete wholes
Once more.

Strikingly romantic. But couples rarely have the time anymore to engage in such passionate reverie. What with their cell phones ringing or noting that they have text coming in.
