Cherokee Secrets Of The Universe And Love. Dedicated To My Cherokee Ancestors.

We Are One
By La Belle Rouge
black as cinders, his hair, laced with silver
shining in the cool light of the full moon
unbraided it falls across my bare breasts
sweet fragrance of herbs surrounds us
under the soft, heavy bear skin
where flesh meets burnished flesh
river sounds soothe our senses
on nearby mountain, sister cougar
sings songs of love to her mate
the fire dies down as sage pots smoke
and fill the air with purity's scent
and protection from all evil
we exalt the purity of our woodlands
and cold springs of bubbling water
the purity of man, woman love
bodies and hearts catch flame
spirits unite and take flight
beyond blue mountains to the great sea
we are one with the trees and river
one with the rugged mountains
and all the creatures of the woodland
our spirits bound together forever
one with each other and the Great Spirit
Enjoyed this profound exaltation of ocean-deep love that transcends time and paints the landscape, and the soul, with enduring beauty. Much gratitude,

Winds of renewal, fanning the sage smoke with an eagle's wing, ancient bonds between people and their Creator, Soul Whispers pass through the dream catcher...may you be safe in the grasslands where your poetry sprouts, La Belle...always a spiritual/sensual pleasure to read you...
GORGEOUS! One doesn't have to be Native American to appreciate the sensuality, the beauty of this write: and I love how you incorporate Nature in the union. Well done!
A wonderful ode to your Native American ancestors, La Belle, who truly could still teach us so very much today. And I love that music, I use it all the time on my Native American posts.
The drug called "The Shari" has been used for vision quests over many years. But, when all the rivers start drying up, the tribe must send a young hunter named Tomás on a much more important trip through the Amazon.
