So You Wanted A Halloween Ball?
By La Belle Rouge

Welcome, Foolish mortals!
Greetings to all evil immortal entities
who boldly walk abroad on All Hallows Eve.
Welcome to my home, the ball awaits you, as do
the ghosties and ghoulies and long legged beasties.
Be ye forewarned that you enter at your own risk
and may never exit vertically, be ye warned!

Enjoy the creak of the ancient rusted hinges
as the heavy oak doors swing open to receive you.
Do leave your hat in the foyer with the butler.
Yes the hunchback with one eye and missing lips.
Leave your cape also, unless the chill is too much for you.
All who wish to go headless may leave their heads
in the large snake basket by the door.
Those who enjoy being limbless may leave their
arms legs and other appendages piled in the corner.

Please make yourself at home in the parlor
where fried eyeballs and sautéed brains
with goat head cheese and suspicious smelling marinara sauce
are being served atop lightly baked flesh crackers.
Have a White Russian, or Black one if you prefer,
perhaps a few bloody Marys, or Marthas or Janes?
In the adjacent ballroom the zombie band
is tuning up in the wrong keys for your dancing pleasure
Dance Children Of The Night, dance with the devil.
Dance to the lonely howls resounding in the woods
and the thunder that enlivens our bestial hearts.

If you are a virgin, or a pseudo virgin
please line up against the far wall
our gentlemen vampyres will arrive shortly
and they are expecting a smorgasbord of beauties.
if you are not a true virgin but “Virginity Challenged”
they will be so crazed they won’t care
so just keep it to yourself, the truth that is,
everything else you will soon lose to their lust

Were you mere mortals so foolish as to think
you could mingle with the blood thirsty immortals?
Did you fall for my ploy of jokes and feigned comraderie?
Did you believe you would arrive alive and leave the same?
The mortuary in the basement is ready to prepare
your remains for burial in my ancient family cemetery.
No need to drain your blood, there will be none left.
Those screams? Oh not to worry, it’s just those guests
I gave to the monsterous mortician, to bury alive,
After all I do need to pay him for his services
and the long hearse rides through the cemetery
he provides for the pleasure of my guests.

You wanted a Halloween Ball? I have given you one
more terrifying than you worst nightmare
dangerously delicious and decadent.
A ball you will not forget the rest of your
very SHORT life..........

Nice spooky castle photograph! Well, and a Happy Halloween to you too! Now you have thoroughly frightened me to the core of my meek existence. Fantastic and now I shall slither out a window and fly away on my broom.....

Be safe,
Karen

Belle,

Can you imagine trying to find the right limbs deposited in the corner if there were an emergency? There'd be a lot of funny looking characters walking the streets. (lol) A delectable feast my dear. Happy to be here.

Yes, they should keep "it" to themselves (the virginal status, or not) because we are so crazy that we won't notice you say?
My dear Red Head Queen this Old Vampire are aiming for you, to suck the your jebeezzes until you howl so high that it would shatter all the champagne glasses around.
Here I am cooooooooooooooooming!!!!!!!!!!!

Shucks! I was prepared to dance and sneeze to my heart's delight. Now, it looks like I, too, may be an entree. But, what the heck, I'll still have a halloween gala to remember ----- for a couple of moments!!!
