Spirit Of The Eagle

you will manifest yourself
today....or the next
a path not yet forged, affirmed
by your untamed revelation
spirit of the eagle
you have been to me a sign
a companion in my travels
sacred voice of the river
sings out my name once more
when a time of war has ended
the harbinger of new journeys
the bearer of good omens
strong solace to the sorrowing
you circle above the earth
and bid my spirit to fly with you
high above the blue mountains
where the great spirit dwells
where wisdom is not measured
by years or worthiness
and hope eternally kisses time
you will manifest yourself
i will wait for you to guide me
and instill within my heart courage
spirit of the eagle, my old friend
your freedom cries slash my ropes
Your expression of the eagle's spirit and how it impacts each of us leaves me breathless. I especially like your positive implication of 'today ... or the next.'

Good writing and Eagles were my late husband's favorite. I love the song Fly like an Eagle and know they are great birds. You poem was deliciously written and very comforting to me. Keep on going with these fine thoughts, We will survive reading like this.

I am the sky where the eagle flies, I am the waters where the eagle thakes the fish, I am the echoes of the eagle's cry by sunset...her spirit will be always there.

Waiting is a patient way to solve most problems and/or aches of the heart, however it is difficult . . . I have never felt the need to send everyone a thank you note for commenting on my writing . . . I try to respond to their writing, which, in my opinion is thank you enough . . . Here's hoping that life's pressing problems will soon be a thing of the past . . .
