As Earth And Sky
By La Belle Rouge
Take me away Sweet Romance
in the stillness of dark night
to a place we’ve often dared go
Where the circling eagles know
yellow warmth of summer light
Take me to The Great High Place
where voices of ancients speak
Blue Mountains majestic, high
where singing waters flow by
and strength awaits the weak
Take me there My Eternal Lover
Ancient oaks to guard our bed
An infinite and unspoiled land
Timid deer eat from our hand
and leaves fall golden and red
As Father Sky with tenderness
caresses breast of Mother Earth
On softness let your kisses fall
Accept my gift as I give you all
for love is life’s only worth
Take me back to the old time
when Great Spirit kept us free
Together, we strong medicine made
We lived and loved unafraid
in our lodge under evergreen tree
Belle,
You know I love Native American poetry, this by far is one of my favorites of yours...I shall save this in my library..Wonderfully written, my dear.
Peace, love, and light,

Wondeful poem. A time and place fast fading with human expantion into unspoiled ares. A place of peace and tranquility guarded by the spirits of nature in loving harmony.
Stay well and keep writing

Only where the eagles dare and the good spirits wander, only in the hands of Father Time and the water drops that will be a raging river, he will look after her like the sun look after the moon...
The drug called "The Shari" has been used for vision quests over many years. But, when all the rivers start drying up, the tribe must send a young hunter named Tomás on a much more important trip through the Amazon.
