So sad, Belle, but it would be easier if we didn't live in an apartment complex that allows other pets but cats (we would love to have a cat, but can't!)! :( So sad!

Perfectly timed Belle, it's that special time of the year for us all to open our hearts and our purse strings to help those less fortunate, no matter how many legs they have. I really like the rhythm, rhyme and the flow of this one, but the message is the real "meaty" part. Thanks Dick

As one who now spends lots of time rounding up dumped and abandoned pets in many a cold dark alley, I pray that Christmas brings many more compassionate human hearts, much more help for these woefully forgotten creatures, and many more Holiday pet adoptions.

Our latest rescue was a starving little dog I named 'Runner.' I recently posted his poem. And I can't believe all the starving cats there are out there, in the freezing cold, right now.

I truly hope that many heed your much needed message, La Belle.
