Connie, this is a beautiful, moving poem,and full of the truth about Jesus' birth,the ultimate gift to mankind.
This poem reminds me of the one I wrote for Christmas this year,2012; I have written a Christmas poem for the last three or four years.

Well executed, Connie, The Ultimate Gift - God coming to us in human flesh, His purpose to redeem us from our sin. It's time we gave back to Him...time is running out!
I watched the news in awe! Thousands of frantic shoppers stressing themselves out to find the "ultimate" gift...when the ultimate gift was already given. Talk about looking in the wrong places, eh?

A great reflection of the true meaning of Christmas, that which the media wants us to forget. I saw a video today from a TV station that began: "We do not know if this really happened." Thus God's gift is trampled underfoot. Good for you to make us meditate on such a holy event. Victor

I can see parts of this write being a lovely Christmas card. Especially the last stanza. A heart full of thankfulness wrote this. Who can ever understand the depth of the gift that He has bestowed upon those who believe.
