You Inspire Me
By La Belle Rouge

“You inspire me,” you confessed
How many years since I first felt
the intrepid weight of your words
and I knew our hearts would never
beat alone or our dreams cease?
Occurring more than a decade ago
or alive in a mere, surreptitious span
of two delicate breaths of adoration?
When matters not, for destined love
supersedes time, overshadows reason
I live evermore in circling inspiration
reflected in your eyes and poet’s pen
Today I read again those viable verses
you wrote long ago, odes to warm lips,
elegant fingers and erotic interludes
Again, as before, warm waves of awe
swept over me and gathered me under
convivial wings of your loving admiration
as I thought… those are my lips, fingers,
those, our romantic interludes shared
often in memories, in dreams, in verity
within the inspiration of an eternity
Then I wrote this poem to enfold you
in the warmth of my verses until again
I have breathed into your weary soul
the rejuvenating, sweet breath of love
and into your tired body, fires of desire
as I confess again that, "You inspire me”

Belle, Our inspirations come from so
many places, things, people we
know or knew, but to me, the best
inspirations come from the ones'
we 'loved' or love...Beauty always
shows in your writing.
Always,
Deborah

This is so moving, Belle, and so deeply felt. I greatly admire and envy the way that you are able to pour out your heart so lavishly and with such grace, elegance and emotion that is totally uncloying and sincere; I always feel slightly "tart" (as in "edgy", "tangy"... forgive me if our Brit/American usages don't quite tally here... I certainly don't mean "floosie"!) when I try to write so: perhaps it's because I'm essentially a humorist/tomboy and am more comfortable with "quips". Love the honest lack of self-awareness here and the open vulnerability. Admiration emboldens us and makes us strong in our inner being, that's for sure. Inspiring as always you can and you do. Bless you, beautiful lady. xx

Truly soul reaching sentiments, Belle; and I think that the intended recipients of such a tribute is fortunate indeed. Love and best wishes,

As surely as you breathed the breath of his inspiration, he was lifted to exaltation with your gifted support of him. This is a very deeply appreciative and at the same time introspective view Belle. You conveyed it with that touch that is romantically, uniquely you. And I love it. I bid you love and peace my dear friend. Jon Michael

The depths that this piece reaches is unfathomable and is probably comprehended by few in its entirety. These verses go not weary in the heart and soul for they do awaken as if touched by satin fingertips replete with the warmth that only true loving hearts can render.

Sweet Belle, he's so lucky, but lets face it,,,,, that inspiration thing is like a tree. You're the trunk and the branches are all of your works.... The leaves are the people that have been inspired by you. So, he's not the only one doing some inspiring...

Thank you, Dick
