An Enchanted Celtic Christmas Tale
By La Belle Rouge
A princess went into the forest one day
For some red winter berries to pick.
She’d heard that the wee folk like to play
In dark depths where trees grow thick.
And tricky were those little Leprechauns
Whose cousins are Artic Christmas Elves.
They’d tug your hair and pinch your arms
Then run away laughin loud to themselves!
The Old Folk say you could hear dancin
In the silver of a winter’s bright moon
All the jolly Wee Folk jumpin and prancin
Like frisky, newborn calves ‘oft do in June.
And she wondered if she might see one
For she had oft wished she could be one.

Belle, A Merry Christmas to you! Another endearing tale that you give us here on the den!
Those frisky little fellas romp and play whilst we labor under misconceptions. We could use a large dose of their enlightenment to cheer us on Christmas Day. 'An Enchanted Celtic Christmas' where everyone is joyous and thankful. May peace and love be always with you my dear friend. Jon Michael
... And no wonder when they've spent 363 days labouring in Santa'a Sweat Shop! All work and no play makes for mischief; so much for "Little Helpers"! :) Wishing you a Christmas as magical as the mysteries you create, Belle. xx
I love this, Belle; mystically enchanting. I am of Celtic descent so I suppose this "speaks" to me. Thank you for sharing this delightful poem. Love and best wishes to you,
