he has always been supportive of my work
benevolent to me as a fellow poet and person
when he disagrees with my beliefs or ideas
he is still ever respectful of them and of me
he and I can agree to disagree amicably
I esteem the soul and intellect of this poet
his poetry so thoughtful and well penned
displaying wisdom and nature's beauty
he may not know it but he is a real hero
a strong man I admire for his zest for life
and the way he hasn't allowed adversity
to defeat him or dominate his existence
many lesser men would have given up
and missed all the wonders of a lifetime
he has boldly dared to embrace and savor
simply by being who he is, accomplishing
all he has done in his life, encourages me
the be a better person, to keep on keeping on

You are way too kind. I was just thinking that so many authors post their works here and then do not comment on others, good, bad, or ugly. Through the years you have always given me comments on my work and I greatly appreciate that. I would much rather have comments on my work as it is rather than my life, but that's what I get for writing my autobiography and often writing about my life in my comments to others here.
