When I'm weary of my day
and I really don't want to pray
it's then I remember God's love
and blessings to be thankful of
discouraged and I don't know why
things never change as days go by
burdens are heavy the road is rough
and I feel so vulnerable, not tough
My God has infinite strength to give
when I'm tired and don't want to live
when sorrows assault me from all sides
strong faith in My Father still abides
days I don't want to get out of bed
I concentrate on good things instead
and I am calmed when I feel Him near
He understands and sees each tear
there is more good than bad in life
we have a shelter from storms of strife
so when I don't feel thankful I still say
thank you Lord for another blessed day
A beautiful poem, you mirrored the way we all feel so every now and then perfectly. I really loved that the heaviness and weariness of the day was chased away, or cornered by faith.

Your faith inspires me. I have a recurring dream of being unable to move or to speak while someone approaches intent on torturing and killing me. I have resolved to take the bullet rather than let that happen. Your way is better.

This is how many of us feel or have felt, Belle, Lovely!
I certainly believe in the power of prayer and am grateful for just being able to get up in the morning. Your poem is full of gratitude which is something I feel. Thank you for reminding me to never forget to give thanks to Him.
I don't have God to comfort and make me feel good about myself. Just saying. Over the years I have found that I can work everything up to now and are able to deal with, and understand, and yes solve what needs to be solved. Enjoyed your poem. Got me to thinking.
