The Moon and a certain blue-eyed man inspired this one!

"Enraptured by the Moon's Darkness"

Midnight sitting on the pier
thinking lovingly of you, dear.
I am enraptured by your voice
giving this romantic heart no choice.

The moon slips in and out of sight,
carrying all the shimmering light,
beyond those clouds of encompassing dark,
bringing me to fear your bark.

Will you come to me this eve,
with intentions to not deceive.
Baring all that you have inside
forsaking all your manly pride.

Let your light shine once more,
like the man you were before.
I will bring you joyful light,
taking away all your fright.

As the moon comes out to shine,
know that soon it will be time.
To expose your soul to me and know
that I will be your light and glow.

author's notes:

the moon was incredible with the dark clouds taking its light away, and finally they disappeared and the moon was shining on the water with such intensity, I was inspired to think of this man, and write this poem..
