On this day of the Winter Solstice
the sun radiates it's solar light
sending healing rays toward the Earth.
It marks the first day of winter,
hence the shortest daylight,
and the longest night.
The cold is seeping toward us,
sending us into a deep freeze,
but the sunshine makes it bearable.
One can only hope for a mild winter,
but the sun will be our salvation throughout,
Always be thankful for its presence
Absorb its radiant light,
.Feel the comfort from its heat
Know that you are blanketed in its warmth.

With its numerous once in a lifetime joys.
Albeit they may be small things please still pay attention.
Beauty is everywhere. As poets, we can look deeper and have more appreciation of those things, I think.
Bad stuff comes and goes, always resolved somehow then you can go back to studying a column of ants.
The New year brings another cycle of Nature's beauty,
And more joys.
