Reflections of loneliness
Reflections of time gone by
All are reflections of you.
The day you left,
was the day I became lonely,
longing for your sweet breath,
your tender touch, I loved so much.
Images in my mind
of the way you held me
the way you knew how to touch me
Images reflected in my heart's mirror
Reflections coming back to me
as I look in my mirror
I can only see your face
and know that your love cannot be erased.
When you look into your mirror,
do you see my image,
my reflection of devotion,
do you see my love absent?
Can I live with this reflection
always present.
Shall I try to erase this memory
of your beautiful smile
every time I reflect in my heart's mirror?

I think we all have that love somewhere in our past, or for some it is in their future, that made us so aware of love and the connection it has to living that we can never completly forget it. That being said Amber, we as poets, are fortunate to be able to release those feelings and perhaps relive them when live seems too much at times. Very nice write indeed.
