The Most Beautiful Man In the World

by Amber "V" Moonstone

2/21/09

Standing on the bridge
beneath the darkened night,
the fog thick and heavy,
I wondered if you would find me.

There was a splash up ahead,
and I ran to see what happened,
A young woman had jumped off the bridge
into the cold murky waters.

I made my way to the railing,
to see if I could help her,
and for a moment
our eyes met, and she said,

"Tell him I am so sorry,
but I cannot go on living a lie,
I have been unfaithful,
and I must die."

I stood there, crying
for this lost soul,
realizing that I had been living
a lie, denying my love for you.

I began my way back toward
our meeting place,
but the fog was so thick,
that I began to get lost in it.

I cried out your name,
you did not answer,
I walked toward the end of the bridge,
You were no where to be found.

I was forlorn, knowing I had lost you,
I began to weep and tenderly
You touched my shoulder,
and pulled me into your arms.

I knew at that moment,
that the angels heard my cries,
and you were brought safely
back into my willing arms.

"My Love, do not cry
I am here and will never
Let you go!"

The two lovers walked through
the fog and into the sunshine of their love!

"Tell him I am so sorry,

so sad that a heart would perish itself inside grief of another, yet then how wonderful to step forward & express what is inside one's heart! It shouldn't be any other way-

Fog is like a question from ghosts made of gossamer thoughts and I am sure that when she rested her head on his chest she felt his heart and his warmth as those strong arms wrapped her tight but tender like a strong wind will go around a rose.
Thank for the answer, me too are a sucker for happy endings.
