Sometimes the temptation to love the wrong person, is so strong that you cannot stop yourself.

"Starry-Eyed and Moonlit Glow”
by Amber "V" Moonstone

3/7/09

Starry eyed and moonlit glow
Seeing love from wanton flow,
Feeling Earth's vibrational pull
sending thoughts of love so full.

One moment in glorious bliss,
is found within your tender kiss,
Seeking siren's fated call,
to bring you toward your fatal fall.

Resistance surely hard to find,
making lover's ever so blind.
Knowing of forbidden fruit
doesn't alter your dangerous route.

Responding to that siren's chant
only shall and never can't
resist the temptation of the sea
drowning in pure ecstasy.

Starry eyed and moonlit glow
seeing love from wanton flow,
Feeling Earth's vibrational pull
sending thoughts of love so full.

Author's Notes: Sometimes the temptation to love the wrong person is so strong that you cannot stop yourself.

Peace, love, and light,
Amber "V" Moonstone

Your authors note says exactly what you express in this writing. Almost reads like a song, very well done! I can relate to this poem.

Stay well and keep writing

I would never wish to feel such a thing
obsessions are destructive measures out of control

We have the person we are with, the one we should love and be passionate with forever. But we allow deep familiarity to erase the old mystery and with it goes the urgent passion. Onto our stage walks a new person, a new mystery, and a new (forbidden) passion ignites to emblazon life. Why? The new mystery will evaporate, too, so there is no future of value in this relational path. Yet, time after time, that is what we humans do, like hummingbirds, flitting among the blossoms of passion.

I suppose we usually have nothing to say about whom we love.
It just happens, and when it does--what a joy that it can be
celebrated in the spirit of your "starry-eyed" words. -gene.

You and I kind of on the same page, Amber, wrote about "Busy Bee"s who pollinate all sorts of blossoms with their lies, just to get what they want. You expressed it better than I did. :) Well done, Amber.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

I agree with you and this poem puts it into such perfect perspective, we may be able to control our actions, what we say, and even what is expected of us but...
we cannot control or tell our heart who to love for there are no shut off or on buttons when it comes to love.
