Mindless Wonder

Thoughts of you,
swimming through my mind,
savoring moments of peace
and true tranquility on this day.

The only piece missing
was your touch,
Your tender words that fill
my heart with gladness.

I have tried to forget you,
but that is impossible,
just as having you is.
But Mindless wonder keeps me awake.

I look at the ocean
as far as thoughts can take me,
and I ponder what it would be like
to touch your lips with my fingertips.

My hand reaches for you,
can you feel it?
My body craves your warmth,
and sways with the very thought of you.

How can this be so?
We have never met,
but I feel so close to you,
I know your touch.

I can feel your hands on my shoulders,
guiding me to your veranda,
Holding me beneath this moonlit evening,
kissing me with sweet abandon.

Making me forget the past,
only dreaming of what is to come
within this midnight hour,
that takes me to your door.

Let me feel your touch,
kiss your tender lips,
float on cosmic clouds,
as I drift within this mindless wonder!
