Trembling States

Strongly sensing your presence
I tremble from excitement
to find you standing there
amongst the shadows of my mind

You were trembling from fear
of rejection and discovery.
Alas, my heart did feel your quiver
rippling toward my emotions.

I cannot bear to live without you,
the distance is torture,
the unknowing is sheer madness,
the vacant kisses duly missed.

Once an embrace is felt,
all fear and rejection is dissolved
like a drop of rain on hot pavement
sizzling from the heat of the moment.

I embrace that moment
when lips melt into soft kisses
of sheer chemistry,
toward love's bountiful banquet 

Enter the sacred garden
feast on succulent flower petals,
succomb to aromatic perfumed ecstasy
flowing like a gushing waterfall.

No looking backwards,
only focusing on the present moment
that captures your soul within
trembling states of celebrating synapses.
