i thought that i was strong enough
built like a fortress
big and tough
but what man could resist you

with two emerald jewels
disguised as eyes
a body that the gods would prize
and i am just a man of flesh

i think about you all day long
and dream of you
when night has come
i’m breaking her poor heart in two

she cries and begs me
'please don't go'
but i’m caught in your web and so
i can’t seem to help myself

i meet you on the edge of town
when the crimson sun
is going down
and we make the moon blush red

soft white skin, deep auburn hair
to your beauty
no other can compare
