MELTING

sometimes i dream of what i love
like pristine snow and your company
a mountain cabin far from anywhere
roaring fire on a fieldstone hearth
deer we can watch through our window
eating the dried corn we left for them
at wood’s edge beside the frozen brook
squirrels chattering on the window ledge
occasional eagle flying above the trees
soft rock ballads playing on the radio
our bodies pressed impossibly close
with nowhere to go, nothing else to do
but spend a lazy afternoon dancing
and a long snowy night making love

sometimes i dream, sometimes i feel
smooth path of your white shoulders
soft beneath the journey of my lips
and smell scented hollow of your throat
with your full breasts cradled in my hands
i taste the delicious flavor of your mouth
so sweet, sensual like classic love poetry
as it rolls over the tongue with grace
and wakens the loins with recklessness
sometimes i speak softly into midnight
the words i would whisper in your ear
in a dream, in a remote mountain cabin,
at night when driven snow sticks to windows
and hot love melts ice on translucent panes

You know DJ, how much I love the beach and the hot summer passionate nights beneath a full moon, but somehow your love poetry set in the midst of a cabin in the woods after a snowfall seems so tenderly inviting...Love this DJ, just as always you know how to woo a girl..

Much peace, love and light,
Amber

Such a smooth poetic dreamy write Don Juan!
I'm always a stream of curses when I get to the 'full breasts' part!
(That always rules me right out of the plan) Ha, LOL!!
Anyway, gorgeous writing as always, and I'll be reading!
Blessings,
Christine

The setting is perfect, DJ, for this fine vision, the removal from noise and business where we can be real and true to ourselves, where our true natures have a chance...and that excellent final line, a clincher.
Yes!

The graphic image that you have chosen very effecitvely complements the feelings and images that you have created via your verses, Don Juan. Nicely done. Love and peace to you,

Regis
