FORBIDDEN FRUIT

don’t try to understand me
i’m only a sigh on the wind
a mythical creature hibernating
deep in the cave of your fantasies
a serpent of seduction slithering
through forbidden fruit of a dream
whispering in your ear with a voice
you have assimilated in your soul
like the blending of sweet and sour
condiments to compliment a feast
ours has become a feast of love
a secret celebration of dark lust
where your doors are flung open
and your crimson lips are parted
upon the golden altar of yearning
to receive the sacrament of my kiss
don’t try to understand the power
of hands that caress your curves
upon the sands of a thousand beaches
from the threshold of a distant shore
you are the ripened fruit of life
can i prevent myself from tasting?

How can one mesmerized soul respond to such a glorious poem. You astonish me with your insight into a woman's soul and desires.
Every word in this poem speaks volumes deeply within in me. It resonates and propells me into an erotic trance. Your words always do this to me..this song you chose is the perfect mood elevating music to accompany the intensity of your words.
DJ, why? How? Can you do this to me?
Not really a question but you know how you affect your readers and you love it...it motivates and stimulates your soul doesn't it....

Peace, love and light,
Amber

Sustained from start to finish, the metaphor is rich
and apt, DJ, and the language is fluent and flawless -
indeed a 'sigh on the wind' the entire poem has that
alluring air about it.
