So many of you beautiful ladies at AD have been my readers and encouragers, even when I am absent for long periods of time. I am writing a collection of poems that are dedicated to you. These are my gifts to you, not only for your support but in tribute to the unique and wonderful woman each of your are. This one is for Lady Debra Bateman

BUTTERFLY

For Lady Debra Bateman

i have often wondered how anything so delicate
could be such an enigma of a woman’s strength
beneath her gentle exterior beats a brave heart
pushed down, her spirit broken, she rose again
colors of her wings glistening in the morning sun
she ballets on daffodils and frothy white clouds
she dances with bold knights at medieval balls
where her beauty shines and her soft lips smile
an invitation for soul kisses and tongue pleasures
always a perfect lady outside but inside her heart
the river of passion flows between shores of lust
where her fragrance seduces me to dream of her
enfolded in my arms on a moonlit tropical night
where she surrenders her body and soul to mine
she is a butterfly of love, rising like a gold mist
on the winds of each romantic fantasy shared
so gentle, so gracefully beautiful, so seductive

You pen such rapture, DJ! This is gorgeous, loving, gracefully romantic in its tender fragility.
Blessings,
Christine
