These are the tears of things...

Poem Artwork

Shed a tear for the sad weeping willow,

Shed a tear for a pebble on the shore,

Cry for a rock or a shell.

Cry yourself to sleep cuddling your pillow,

Imagine a world that exists no more;

Wasteland that turned into hell.

Halt the movement of the stars. Stop the clock.

Or hold your breath and rush headlong towards

The final hour of our doom.

The key’s in your hand our fate to unlock,

Or around our necks to tighten the cords…

Cry!… Sunt lacrimea rerum…

I don't know latin (I think thats what it is) but I know what I like, and this I LIKE>>>! ED & Rufuz

Peter,

I don't know what Sunt Lacrimae Rerum means...Latin, I think...something about recurring tears? For what we've done to the planet, we should be ashamed. A powerfully moving piece, my friend. Thank you.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

I pray you are well.

Beside Still Waters by Jill Eisnaugle

Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.

Say Something Terrorible v3 by RickthePoetWarrior

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
