Broken Saxophone

Just about everyone has lost a love. Some of us have lost dozens. But it's always that one that gives you that big "Flashback". Or maybe all the lost loves give off a level of flashing?
I don't know, but this is one hell'va flash I had, and I needed to write it down.
How many of us actually have sent the groveling letter to the recipient.
How many have told your best friend not too? I try not too and I've succeeded on many occasions. But I am guilty too.

Can't you like me just a little bit like before? Until tomorrow?
I'm floundering endlessly in the wind, expanding my education and for what? Just to expand the Art of Combing my hair, for what?

In and out of relationships, because I'm comparing them to you.
What I really need is a real man with substance and not someone looking to just park his shoes under my bed and eat up all of my food. Should I lower my standards. I refuse to do so.

No one can come close to feeding my mind or being as nice as you were to me. I still remember how you quoted Dr Suess's, "Green Eggs and Ham" over the phone, while you were 800 miles away.
I later found the book for 25 cent at the Thrift store and I purchased it. I had a moment of happy connection once again.

I see you in my minds eye playing your 1st and real love. American Idol has you, Simon Cowell what does he know?
I have to dance little Sister, I can't give up until tomorrow.

I actually thought that you were my soul mate. I guess not, I should have been born a "Saxophone".

But that's okay, you can't be dirty mean to me. When I lost you, I lost 80% hope. 20% goes to eating, breathing and sleeping.

I'm putting these words in writing, loosing more of myself, little broken pieces of me. I'm the "Broken Saxophone".

I liked this even if you don't.

That woman up North.
