A small but big special woman
full of grace
did not wait for world leaders
she did it all--- alone at first,
person by person

In silence she touched souls
fed, clothed, and sheltered
the untouchables. the outcasts

Never wanted attention
or to judge people
she only had time and attention
to love

Not a matter of thinking
but of loving
a great deal
she did whatever called her
most to love

Giving kind short words spoken
their echoes and actions resound
truly endless
for ages to come

Thousands came to see her
leaving better and happier
an eternal expression of kindness

kindness in her soft face
kindness in her piercing eyes
kindness in her effervescent smile

Mother really did no great things
she only did many small things
with great love

Acts of kindness may seem like a drop in an ocean
for millions in poverty and hunger
if not for this lady
the ocean of poverty
one by one
in now less because of that missing drop...
