Tied to this barren tree, my gypsy heart dies a little every day. Gift of an early spring wind only chaps my parched lips, never kissed by lips that longed to say �I love you.� No tender buds blossom, decorate these trees. Bent, body discloses heart�s solemnity, submission to this fate. Oh, but how spirit resists life�s cold, grey constraint. Swirling colors dance free in my dreams where I am kissed by you and Spring unleashed in me.

... and it always amazes me that, no matter how dead a branch may look in winter guise, how fresh and vibrant its buds and shoots when the "right time comes". I love this "seasons of the heart" write and, as unpredictably as the British weather, surely the times DO change just as suddenly and almost unexpectedly. Tender and expressive writing.
