Poem Artwork

In my dream
we walk through darkness
from separate ends of a deserted beach,
feeling the pull of the other as we
come closer, disbelieving
at first that it could
really be true .

I am searching for the moon
when you see me and run toward me
like you’d never wanted to push me away,
like all you’ve ever wanted was
this moment, waves crashing
to rhythm of lovemaking,
sound of seagulls.

Light floods us both
and our souls commune
without the years and miles between us.
We become a rhapsody, an offering.
Stars fall and color explodes
in saturated hues of
satisfaction.

And the moment is not
the end, but only the beginning,
in the dream. Awake now, I wonder
as we both walk alone through darkness
from separate ends of a deserted beach,
do you believe at last
it could be true ?

the journey of two souls, separated by time and space and sand, can still be drawn together by the powerful force of love...we just have to believe it can be true...
wonderful poem!
