i ask myself this question at least once a day...i agree with karla, she is still there, we just have to connect..something that gets harder as the years go by
she's still there, she's just buried under the stresses of life
look for her, i bet she's more than ready to emerge--
o, this was such a joy to read--inspirational and uplifting, thank you
(((HUGS))) and love, karla. :)

I really love this poem, think I may have some gypsy girl in me too, could relate so well to this lovely and lively poem. The gypsy in us always returns.

Sad but lovely " Where has she gone, That gypsy girl in me" but I am sure some day she will return dancing to lifes mysteries.

Very absorbing poem. the rythm is wonderful. In our culture when somebody says someone is inside me, we tell him or her to wait until that someone speaks from within. just wait Dawn you will soon hear the voice of the gypsy girl coming through you. Very interesting and beautifully crafted poem.
'Better Without You'is a compelling narrative that explores the complexities of an affair, hidden secrets, and abuse. It also highlights a daughter's heartfelt journey as she cares for her mother who is battling dementia.
