Time: gypsy girl
spins, dances carefree,
traipses through life’s fields
refusing to yield,
celebrating, happy.
Time: tired tramp
back here from nowhere
a long, long time ago,
always on the go,
headed anywhere.
Time: robber thief
that tricks me, tempts me,
and strings me along.
It strikes with a gong
that says I’m not free.
