Sometimes you have to use
a little mental floss
and clear out the cobwebs.
Don't grow up ...
grow down a little.
Life doesn't have to be
so serious.
Take on a dare
for the fun of it.
Kick off those shoes,
and run through a fountain
in the park.
Watch the sun set
in the water
from a wooden swing
on an empty beach.
Roll up your pants
and skip barefoot
through the waves
and gather sand dollars
in your shoes.
Hear a child's prayers
and really listen.
Puddles are there
for splashing
and mud is for making
mud pies.
Life doesn't have to be
so serious.
We all need to live
happily ever after
every now and then.
I agree, CJ. We tend to take ourselves too seriously, forgetting how to laugh and relax in the face of adversity. Nice poem with lots of truths thrown in to remind us. Thank you, precious soul!

What you're saying is that we should become children once again, for children are without cares and usually have fun. I think I'll take that advice....I'm in my second childhood!!!! Victor
Oh CJ how true this write is and how important a message you have portrayed with it.
