Carrying One’s Cross

© By Kathy Armijo

You set the example

To carry our cross with dignity

Never falter on life’s journey

Stick to the ‘course’

The journey’s end is in sight

Whether you can see it or not

Often, we can’t ‘see the forest for the trees’

We only see the obstacles

Still the forest holds many gems

Flowers, animals, fresh air, trees

Remember, our crosses, our journeys, our obstacles

Are lightened by a special love

Accept an outstretched hand

Extend your own hand

Always, focus on beauty

Keep a peace filled and loving heart

This makes our life’s crosses

Much easier to bear

very true and inspirational words that should be carried in all of our hearts and minds. life, time and our own destiny links all souls one to another in this circle of life. we share, we learn, we hope, we dream. we are not alone with the crosses we bear.

always,

Focusing on the beauty or the reward always makes the journey bearable, I am sure that's why the 12 disciples could undergo such torments and died Martyrs.

You set the example
To carry our cross with dignity

And in comparison, our cross is so small. Great lesson in this poem, Kathy.
