what if life was supposed to be like Disneyland you know the happiest place on earth filled with smiles and joy environment tidy everyone loving their work coordination among masses accommodating both young and old filled with characters lots of laughs a world designed to stimulate imagination, adventure innovative to the future details in architecture designed to entertain visual appeal colorful landscapes storybook tales happy ever afters evil never wins no one is ever ill what if life was filled with joy, enthusiasm, and happiness perhaps it already is just waiting for you to allow it
A wonderful write, profound indeed! Isn't it funny how when we go on vacation to these theme parks, we get a bit sentimental and sad when we are about to leave it all behind, we get caught up in the magic of the moment...the music, lights, rides, and shows...when in actuality it is all just a show, when the sun sets and the moon shines bright, all the lights dim, the rides and music stops and only empty packs from snacks and those cleaning up are left behind...where the reality of life continues to thrive when we slumber, nature's bounty continues to grow, wildlife thrives, and we are preparing for another day of the magic given to us by our wonderful creator...if we could only see...you've penned a write that has touched my heart this morning...few touch me as this one has. I have often had the same thoughts, especially when coming home from vacations! Bravo my friend on an excellent and profound offering!

BRILLIANT POETRY, Debby. Such an easy flow to this yet not a word wasted... and you set up your finale so well. Wonderful analogy and yet so accurately penned, as well. A tale of two worlds... what is or what can be... and what isn't but might be. That we might ourselves be the inhibitor strikes so well against the image of Disney. "If you wish upon a star"... We never shed away the inner child, because we daydream, build imaginary sand castles near the waters at low tides, allow all kind of fantasies to overwelm our common sense and fell so wrong in love so many times.

I doubt it very much, especially since it means we poets wouldn't have the darker spectrum to weave our verses from. But very interesting poem, nonetheless!
I like your poem.
I think there are 2 aspects to consider: first, as Richard suggests, this is Heaven you are describing--like the Garden of Eden before the fall. Second, as you suggest, an optimistic view of life and the people around us can do wonders for us. We need to count our blessings and enjoy the good things God has given us.
