Poem Artwork

Indecision clouds the mind

much as the veil of fog

that gently obscures the early morning moon.

Reminiscent of moments

in which resolve takes on an air of conviction,

yet uncertainty slowly drifts in.

It is said that nothing is permanent in life except change,

and I am witness to that

as I watch the dark sky surrender to the sun.

Although still masked in fog,

it carries forth the prospect of opportunity.

This poem shows so much depth...indecision and opportunity are almost like the sky and the sun...as you have shown they go hand in hand. We as individuals have the same emotion it is the change that we are always striving for...

nice work, Dawn...

Great movement in this piece of writing. The whole poem reflects the idea of change - transition.

Very coherent and effective from beginning to end.

Well said. Each of us surrenders to forces stronger, and it's good to remember that there are these forces, and they will have their way. I believe in your line,"...I watch the dark sky surrender to the sun"
This is good reading. - Bill

Very insightful and well written! Second thoughts tend to come with time. I like the way you always leave a poem wit optomism.

Stay well and keep writing.

Perserverence and hope carry this poem to the limit as you offer us a chance to see that dark skies can clear up if we are patient. Well done Dawn...enjoyed.

I am really liking what you are putting out lately, Dawn. You combine the dark with hope in the wings . . . That is a good combination . . .
