Another painting and poem.

The girl sits in the chair and watches the world go by not really wanting to join in on the fanfare she sees outside herself for a change enjoying the complacency of the moment contemplating the writing on the wall knowing that one day she will be strong enough to join life again... Addendum: This was inspired by the face of my grandaughter Nicole. Also inspired by one of the masters paintings of a boy in a chair. I don't remember which one. The painting itself is an Oil on 20" oval canvas.

This can also be metaphoric in the way that in a world full of adult corruption, the inner child in us all wishes it come come out and not be judged for being true to the self. So surreal.
