Kiss

Turn down the light...
I'll do what's right.
Wonderful whispers,
long into the night.

Flickering candles
casting warm glows,
Your eyes tell me what
my heart already knows.

Your features so strong.
Your gaze is unknown.
I came here to take you,
to make you my own.

I'd like you to kiss me,
my hands on your face.
First gentle, then deeper,
we'll make our escape.

Weaving through starbursts,
the flames singe our souls.
The scent of our pure love
as the fires take hold.

"Go higher" I tell you,
I won't let you down.
Each breath is a struggle,
we're both losing ground.

Clutching at moon drops
that melt in our hands.
Leaving us helpless
in Heaven's expanse.

Don't leave me now,
hold on tight while we fall.
Such peace while we wait for
Resolution's call.
