Smart words are filled with promise
When I am in despair,
A consistent reminder
That God is always there.
He’s aware of my deepest fears
Including my wants and needs.
And so He awakens me early,
To remind me of His deeds.
Always faithful; Always strong
There’s no one else like Him.
In His presence I belong
Child of grace; His mercies brim.
Smart words fill hollow places
Deep within my heart,
So that there is not a trace
Of doubt, since words are smart.
