Poem Artwork

three-square

bone-tired,
heart-sore,
i'm taking myself
out of the game
because this
playing field
has too many
f***ing corners,
all of them sharp,
except where
the edges blur,
and applied math
makes no sense,
with changing rules
threatening my belief
in anything constant,
as i foul out,
on purpose,
this final time,
leaving the field
towards sunset.

...........red, rover, red rover, send annie right over ...
