Once visually impaired,
I finally see myself,
as you hoped to see me,
walking freely about.
Internally, I was aware,
but blinded by default,
to the true inside me,
you swear you saw out.
Objects in the mirror,
now closer, it seems,
than anything prior,
I had hoped to dream.
Heart's blood flowing,
bled crimson to sleeve,
this is the real live me,
you never failed to see.
You are mirror-true vision,
reflecting a soul complete,
once stubborn, stiff-postured,
I am now prepared to leap.
I continue on with our future,
a forever-long bleed-to-feed,
sound within your boundaries,
forever crying, blissfully free. |
