Poem Artwork

The old ways
not gone
never lost
more likely
kept safe
well hidden
gone deeper.

Best kept this secret.

Love walks in
arms open
heart ready
future spoken
states always
questions same
awaits an answer.

Time stops
starts now.

Memory prods
spine tingles
feels bad
feels good
feels bad
feels good
feels ...

The old ways,
not gone.

Heart believes
joy up front
mind releases
backbone relaxes
grip less tense
soul complete
can just be.

The old ways,
never lost.

Letting go
pulling free
meat from
bone to kettle
set to simmer
fallow now fat
saved back
for the birds.

Feels good
feels good.

The old ways,
not gone
never lost
more likely
kept hidden
to remain safe
until needed
now need be.

Feeling good,
going deeper.
