Sunday's Child Wears a Jaundiced

Face

Sunday, what a long, hot and yellow day, rain thick as honey clinging to the sky.

Monday, the rain reduced the entire planet to a gray-pink pastel wash.

Tuesday did not exist, swiped right off the calendar page by the continued rain.

Wednesday morning, silver fog hung over the marsh grasses while the sunrise burned off the dewdrops.

Thursday's sky was full of storms, the clouds
looking bruised, deep purples and green.

Friday night the dark needed stitches, sharp white lightening ripping across the pitch-black sky.

Saturday morning, the sun hid behind a pale blue haze, the marsh steamed and I saw red, so tired I am of this rain.

Recurring themes held together by your framework will always work! Nice symbolism here too....a great poem!

Rain - it can be such a mixed blessing. Great imagery bringing forth emotions here. Thank you. Regis

Tuesday... as the rain washed away all my fussy cares, the sweetest drop hit my forehead in the form of your wonderful poem. Thanks!
