Ball and Chain
That's what you call me,
as I cringe, discarded, everything
and then some, and then nothing to you.
You kicked me,
resigning me to the proverbial curb,
smacking your lips, fed up to here with me.
And yet you thirst,
need not quite met, growling deep,
on the prowl, always looking for the next fix.
I stew in leftover juices,
as you slam doors and search cubbies,
coming up empty, slamming your fists down hard.
Visibly weakened,
crumpled tight, in a tiny ball, I wait,
forever chained to your desires, needing you too.
Painfully aware,
your pangs not subsiding in the least,
you reach for me, plunging me to your depths.
I rest there,
for the time that it takes
as you bleed me clear through, this final time.
Mouth watering,
ready for your blood bath, you toss me aside,
my anemic body, lost to this love, dead for all time.
Love Tinka
The depth, especially in that last verse,
is beyond the norm in poetry.
