Watching the brief scattering of white flakes My thoughts drifted back to the last snowfall (the big Snow) and You. When the phone rang Your voice reached over the years and gripped My heart with a cold ache. You wanted to see Me but I had to say no. I’ve grown too fond of the sun warming My face, and I’ve learned that Snowmen and Sunshine don’t mix.
