First love, First lover.
I was walking the line between
child and woman-
sixteen, scared
and ready.
Prove it.
I did,
in the back of that black ‘57 Chevy.
I leaped for the other side,
riding the steam of hormonal heat.
Once the fog cleared
the view was never quite the same.
