There is intrigue, there is love. In the cycle.

Poem Artwork

Summer's assault painted my life with joy

white sands, emerald waters

salves, elixirs, to heal the wounds

of February's menacing talons

all sense of urgency retreating

my impetuous nature has eased

the opiates of wisdom now dwell

'neath this well seasoned pate

meaningless goals slip softly

into many horizon's setting suns

a game of chance made intersting

love and romance

have presented bold advances

values for such encounters

hold promises heretofore unrecognized

the mask of risk and consequences

once removed

reveals a world where daisies dance

the heart is pursuant to flight

warm breezes enlist the seas

to make the moon's image dance

'tis neither pomp nor circumstance

'tis cognition

of the way it was meant to be

there are indeed second chances

October will brush away the tears

of the formidable losses of my tender years

let these sesons unwind

'neath the heaven's cycle of chance
