Now I Can Sleep

We've all had experiences with illnesses and this is one of mine. I pray you all find a doctor like this one!

“Now I Can Sleep”


Written for Albert Tseng, M.D.


 


All alone, feeling scared and laying in a bed,


Trying to remember everything my family doctor said.


“It’s just a test,” he said, “that’s all that it will be,”


But now I’ve been admitted, and no one here knows me.


 


As I looked up a nice young man came walking through my door,


Hello he said, I will be your doctor for what you have in store.


We think your heart has problems and you must take another test.


I will be right there beside you, now you get some rest.


 


Somehow, I knew that he was special and the fears I had erased .


I knew he would take care of me with the things I had to face.


If not for him I would have died, bless him Lord I pray.


For I know God picked him just for me, so I would be okay.


 


I ask God everyday to bless him and keep him safe and sound.


For he is a very special doctor and I want him to stay around.


He made me feel so safe, and I knew he would always be,


Right there helping me understand and taking care of me.


 


So I ask you God to give him all the best life can afford.


Let him know he’s loved and truly most adored.


He’s a special doctor that touched my heart so deep.


Let him know how special he is, so I can get some sleep.

I remember the doctor who performed angioplasty on me 20 years ago when it was pretty new and how he successfully reduced three blockages I had and extended my life to its present time. Thank God for all these wonderful doctors and I remember him in my prayers also.

A nice tribute. You are lucky indeed to have found a doc with not only the medical skills to heal you, but also the bedside manner to calm and comfort you.
