Sometimes people look at the wrong things when they need a friend.

I Can’t See Your Imperfections!
 
I can’t see your wrinkles, when I look at you.
I only see the sunshine, that comes shinning through.
I can’t see the age spots or the thinning hair.
I can only see a heart, of one who always cared.
 
I can’t see any imperfections, when I look at you.
I can only see the honesty, of one who is true blue.
I don’t see your body that has become old and weak.
I can only see the person, who’s been my special treat.
 
I don’t see the cane you use, when you need to get around.
I can only feel your strength, and your self-reliance abound.
No, I can’t see anything about you, that I would amend.
For if I ask God for a perfect friend, you are what he’d send.

"...because if I ask God for a friend...you are what He would send..."
That phrase makes the wrappings of a priceless present in form of a poem dedicated to that special person.
I am lucky too, from AD God send me a few too.

This should be a greeting card, Bonnie; this poem is a beautiful work of art! How true that our imperfections mean nothing in the hearts and minds of our friends, just as their flaws mean nothing to us.
